It’s relatively uncommon to come across a largely unrestored Stag running its original V8 with the owner reporting 15 years of trouble free motoring.

Our vendor has enjoyed summer use only of this lovely old Stag since he bought it in 2003, covering only around 1,000 miles each year apart from 2008 when he clocked up 7,000 miles. The car still shows only 46,000 miles which the vendor believes to be correct. It has had just four previous owners, the second keeping it for 17 years (1984 – 2001).

The vendor treated the car to a repaint in 2010 from its original white to British Racing Green, the interior is finished in black vinyl and this car features automatic transmission and its original Sharp radio cassette player. The car has been photographed with its hard-top in place, although the vendor admits that it was the first time he had seen it on the car for many years, much preferring wind-in-the-hair motoring and full enjoyment of the lovely V8 burble!

At the time of cataloguing we had not been able to see the documents that come with the car but we understand there is an owner’s pack and a selection of invoices covering basic maintenance and parts purchased over the years. There is also a Haynes manual and an MOT valid until October 2018 with only one minor advisory for a deteriorated steering rack gaiter.

A great opportunity to acquire one of the most popular British sports cars with a great owner’s club scene and ample parts supply.
