If you are looking for a race transporter for your Fiat Abarth 750 GT Bialbero Zagato, look no further – this is the vehicle for you. It would also be handy for transporting half-a-dozen small Italian motorcycles, as on offer elsewhere in this sale...

Produced in various forms from 1965-74, this Fiat 241 pickup is a rare survivor and quite possibly the only one in this country. It’s a proper commercial vehicle with a 1,400kg payload, 1,895cc diesel engine and 24 volt electrical system.

This must be one of the last-of-the-line versions (thought not to have been registered until 1977) and is extremely sound and original with charming patina, especially considering the life it must have led. It could stand some remedial work but is not in need of major restoration and it is a runner.

It was imported a couple of years ago by Bill McGrath Maserati but has not been used, although it is UK-registered (AVG 517S). The truck is classed as a historic vehicle and is, therefore, tax- and MOT-exempt. It comes with a V5C, and its original Italian documentation.

Classic race transport, interesting alternative to a Type 1 pickup, promotional vehicle for a boutique olive oil producer? – it’s yours for the taking. Well, you will need to stump up some cash first, obviously...
