This fine little Spit’ was purchased by the last owner’s mother when it was only three years old (purchase invoice present). She passed it to her son some 10 years later, the car having been recently purchased from his estate.

It remains in delightfully original order, to many the MkIII representing the 'ideal' version of Triumph’s Midget competitor. It retains its original ‘FD’ engine which is reputed to pull well and display good oil pressure, the odometer showing just 51,000 miles which is believed to be correct thanks to its single family ownership from almost new.

In highly original condition, the bodywork shows evidence of earlier sill repairs although the paintwork is good (but not immaculate) and the engine bay is original. The wire wheels have also been refurbished recently and on the inside, the seats have been recovered in the correct material although the carpets remain original too.

This correct Spitfire would be great fun to use straight away, although could be taken to the next level with some minor cosmetic attention. With several restored examples having made in the region of £20,000 (and more) in recent years, this highly original car with excellent provenance would appear to offer extremely good value at the estimate suggested!

It is presented for sale with both hard and soft tops, MOT certificates from 2001 (showing it has covered less than 1000 miles since then) and a current MOT which expires in May 2019 with no advisories.
