The Jaguar XJ X350 was produced between 2003 and 2006 with an all-aluminium chassis and body construction. Various improvements marked the X350 as an exceptionally well-engineered car with Jaguar's rear suspension changing from the previous double wishbone layout in favour of a multi-link layout with four-wheel adaptive air suspension.

The top-of-the-range sports model was the XJ-R which packed a supercharged 4.2 V8 punch. With 400bhp on tap it could scorch to 60mph in just 5.5secs with a top speed limited to 155mph. Best of the lot was the Portfolio Edition with only 100 examples built for the UK market.

The most expensive XJ saloon model built by Jaguar since the days of the V12, all featured a sumptuous leather interior with a new sporty aluminium dashboard, side power vents, chromed tail pipes and an additional mesh lower grill. The result was an opulent sporting saloon that could compete head on with both the build quality and the performance of the fastest BMW and Mercedes rivals.

First registered in November 2006, this particular car has had just three owners from new, the current since May 2015, and has covered a modest 104,000 miles with an excellent service history comprising nine stamps to date plus every old MOT back to its first in 2009. Presented in the Portfolio colour of Midnight Metallic Black with Ivory leather trim, it rides on 20” Callisto alloys and has all the gadgets you would expect in a car of this class including touch-screen navigation.

In excellent condition throughout, it comes with all its original handbooks, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate authenticating its pedigree and has an MOT until April 2019 with no advisories recorded. Luxury, performance and the stunning specification make this car a must for any Jaguar connoisseur.
