One of a brace of supercharged X100 series Jaguars in the sale today, this one is in desirable convertible form.
An early 370bhp 4.0-litre V8 example, it is finished in the rare, special-order colour of Amaranth purple and is believed to be one of only 50 cars produced in this lovely hue. The interior is trimmed in contrasting cream leather with heated electric memory seats and walnut trim. It has lots of toys fitted, including a premium sound system with CD autochanger, cruise control, automatic lights, digital climate control and electric folding soft-top with heated glass rear screen and tonneau cover.
The car looks particularly attractive on its 18inch alloy wheels and is further enhanced by the Adamesh sports tails to the exhaust system, permitting a fruitier bellow from the twin pipes that enhance the V8 growl. We are advised that the original rear silencer is with the car should you prefer a bit more discretion and is a straightforward swap.
The car has only covered 84,475 miles, the history file showing seven stamps in the service book, along with owners pack, both keys, V5C and a folder of invoices and useful magazine articles about the XKR model in general. Its MOT runs until May 2019 and there are a further eight old MOT certificates to back the mileage up.
The owner has thoughtfully included a 1:18 scale model of the car, finished of course, in Amaranth purple! Going topless has never been such an attractive idea!
