One of the best sounding Stags we’ve had the privilege to offer, this is also one of the nicest in terms of presentation.
Fully restored by its retired engineer owner, who lavished much of his free time and considerable money on his car, which started out in good nick before work commenced.
Dating from August 1972, the car was restored from the ground up and comes with a file of photographs of the process and a host of invoices for parts including all new Samco hoses, brake hoses, copper brake pipes, wheel bearing kits, track rod ends, new gaskets, ball joints, rear suspension bushes, springs, clutch slave cylinder, brake cylinders to name but a few.
The car also received a complete body and paint restoration to a high standard, with little if any corrosion found and has been finished in classic Old English white, with contrasting black interior.
Fitted with the preferred manual transmission with O/D, it had been fitted with the more reliable and powerful Rover 3.5-litre V8, equipped with Edelbrock performance headers and a big carb. Sitting on its centre-knock wire wheels with black mohair hood and spotless brightwork the car certainly looks the business.
And sounds the part too. In addition, your cataloguer can attest to the way it gets down the road – with aplomb shall we say. We like it a lot and guess you might too. Now where’s that bidder number…
AMENDMENT; Please be aware that the overdrive is not currently functioning.
