Dating from January 1964 this smart TR4 is finished in classic British Racing Green and comes fitted with centre lock wire wheels and a manual/overdrive gearbox.
On the inside it has black leather upholstery piped white and has the civilised Surrey-top, offering genuine open-top motoring while permitting normal conversation on the move.
4617 KV has been with our enthusiast vendor since May 2013. He purchased the car following its restoration by Classic restorations of Fife, Scotland in 2012 which is documented with photographs and a brief of works undertaken in the history file. It included body restoration, a strip down and overhaul of both engine and gearbox, new trim to include carpets, seats and other interior trim as well as a new windscreen amongst other bits and pieces.
Our vendor has enjoyed the car during his tenure including a trouble-free and most enjoyable jaunt to the Italian lakes in late 2013, the car proving reliable even on hot days. The only notable improvements made during his ownership have been fitment of the wood dash, electronic ignition, brake servo unit and neat roll bar within the Surrey top and normal routine maintenance. It comes with spare keys, jack and tools and is stored in a Perma bag through winter.
The car’s history file includes the restoration detail, along with V5C, at least four old MOTs, a workshop manual and other sundry invoices back to 1983. The car is of course now MOT exempt, however its last MOT only expired in June 2018 and recorded just three advisories. AMMENDMENT - The car now has a new MOT until May 2020.
