With just 55,600 miles recorded under its five owners, this 986 series 3.2 S Boxster has been ‘kid-gloved’ by its current lady owner and independent Porsche specialist husband based in Dorset.

Over the last three years he has lavished attention on his wife’s car. As a result it has received a raft of sensible preventative maintenance jobs considered worthwhile following many years witnessing first-hand what these cars need, including the essential upgrade LN Engineering IMS bearing (thus avoiding costly potential failure, just Google it!), replacement air-oil separator (a common failure), oil coolant heat exchanger, radiators, water pump, low temp thermostat, header tank, AC condensers (another common failure), rear main seal as well as renewing the clutch and dual mass fly wheel.

In addition to these works, there are some 15 stamps in the service record along with a considerable array of invoices and 12 old MOTs, all chronologically bound in a smart ring binder. The Car has a current MOT running until September 2019 with no advisories.

Y824 HOD looks good in Meridian silver with Metropole blue interior and facelift hood with glass rear window. Running on refurbished 17″ Twist alloy wheels with recent Michelin Pilot Sport N-rated tyres, the car both looks and runs as you might imagine a Boxster would have done in 2001- scintillating performance with precise handling, plus the benefit of knowing that it has been thoroughly ‘gone-through’ by a Porsche specialist. We like this one a lot.
