People’s fondness for their classic hero - the Morris Minor has no bounds. To many, they are one of the most iconic shapes that spring to mind when they think classic car – no surprise, it was penned by great hand of Alec Issigonis and has truly become part of the British psyche.

Coming to us from a deceased estate, this Moggie saloon has sat in storage for the last year or so, although we are given to understand prior to this period it was all up and running. Supplied new in October 1956, this late Series II split-screen four-door saloon Minor still features its semaphores and seems to have originally been grey, undergoingt a colour change to cream in July 2000.

It has been in the current ownership since March 2011 and was last MOT’d in 2012, showing 40,055 miles, with barely 250 miles covered since.

No doubt requiring a little fettling to see regular road worthiness again, the body appears remarkably sound. It is fitted with a burgundy interior with cream piping and a selection of spare door cards in the back.

The history file contains nine old MOTs, an old style log book, a selection of invoices and a box file containing a trio of useful books on the model in general.

Offered at No Reserve, the highest bidder on the day will be the proud owner of this rewarding and straightforward project.
