From the water-cooled era of 911 design, this smart September 2000 3.4-litre flat-six 996 Carrera 4 Coupe boasts all-wheel drive traction and a svelte Aero-kit along with Sportdesign split-rim 18” alloy wheels and really looks the part.
Purchased by our vendor with a damaged engine, he set about returning it to the road and sought out the expertise of renowned Porsche Specislists Serdi in Uxbridge to rebuild the engine. This included a full engine removal and rebuild at 89,000 with new steel liners machined and fitted by Serdi, new chains, tensioners, radiator and new stainless steel silencers - all OEM from Porsche at significant cost. The total bill for this exceeded £6,000 and since then, the car has only covered around 8,000 trouble-free miles.
Our vendor has also had a classic style Porsche radio fitted that includes sat nav and permits playback of various media types.
This C4 has covered just 98,000 miles in total and comes with a good history file including V5C, owners pack and service book with stamps by Porsche at Sutton Coldfield only as well as invoices and photographs of the engine rebuild. It has a current MOT which runs to September 2019 and the icing on the cake is the private registration ‘541 GVT’ which is included in the sale.
