Forever charming, in fact, according to the accompanying period sales brochure the Minor 1000 Convertible offers “The fullest joys of summer motoring are yours. The superbly efficient hood is proof against the worst of winter’s rigours”. Chosen by over a million motorists across the world, who are we to argue against the merit of the magical Minor!
This November ’67 Series V Minor boasts the pokier 1,098cc 48bhp A-series motor and comes from the BMC era.
It comes to us from a large private collection and boasts some useful upgrades including a disc brake conversion (not documented, but evident) and recent maintenance such as a new oil pressure switch, contact set, plugs and ignition condenser in 2016 and recent service.
The history file includes invoices for some of the above works and parts, four old MOTs, period sales brochure, driver’s handbook and the V5C. Firing immediately and running around with ease as we took these shots it was impossible not to be charmed by this delightful old girl which is well worth close inspection.
