One of a brace of Travellers in today's sale, this smart example comes to us from a private vendor in Wiltshire and will be driven to the sale.
SKR213H’s owner has spent around £3,000 on the car over the last three years, much of it with renowned specialist Charles Ware, including fitment of improved servo brakes, new alternator, new petrol tank and new lower panels on both doors.
Supplied new in October 1969, it looks to have been well cared for and has retained its original colour of Old English White. Its been with our vendor since November 2013 and is only for sale due to lack of use and his advancing years.
We are told the car runs and drives as it should with good timber work and tidy black interior. It should offer the lucky new owner a proper classic car experience with a great club scene and entry to any classic car event with the practical and commodious Woody estate feature we all love.
The history file contains the V5C, owner’s handbook, invoices for works carried out and a couple of old MOTs. The car is of course now exempt, but it has been MOT’d as a matter of course until recently, with the last MOT expiring in June 2018 - showing just two minor advisories for a deteriorated steering rack gaitor and a noisy wheel bearing.
Fun, practical, reliable and cheap to insure, run and fix – there is nothing quite like a Morris 1000, the Traveller version adding extra appeal thanks to their ‘woody’ good looks…
