This chrome bumper MGB Roadster has had just four owners from new in March 1971 and has been in the current ownership for 13 years.
It was subject to a full restoration approximately 20 years ago, with photos to document the work carried out although no bills have survived. The car was converted to run on unleaded petrol at the same time as the restoration. It is fitted with an overdrive unit that operates on 3rd and 4th gears while other equipment includes chrome wire wheels with a recent set of tyres, black leather seats piped in red with red carpets and a Motolita wood rim steering wheel.
There are bills for work carried out in the current ownership, along with 13 old MOTs to chart the gradual accumulation of mileage from 3,994 in 1992 to today’s reading of 28,935 miles. Although it is now MOT exempt, it has an MOT to April 2020 with only one minor advisory and has just been treated to a new stainless steel exhaust system. The vendor states that it drives perfectly, never fails to start and will be driven 120 miles to the sale.
