PH 8267 is a 1928 Morgan Aero powered by a 1,095cc Anzani water-cooled v-twin. The car is offered for sale following the recent death of its owner and comes with no documentation other than the V5C.
We are adivised that it is known to the Morgan three-wheeler club and has featured in a number of their magazines. It was restored by respected professional Laurie Weeks in the late 1980s, although little is known of its previous history.
The late owner bought the car in 2000 and it had its last MOT in 2012 at which time it received an advisory note for a sticky stop-light switch. The mileage is unknown as speedometers were an option on the vintage Morgan and this one has not been fitted with such an unnecessary – and weighty - extravagance.
It has been well cared for since its restoration and would appear to need little or no attention before it can roar of into the sunset with its new owner. The Aero is very attractive in its two-tone blue paintwork and the hood and upholstery appear to be in equally fine condition.
We have been advised by the family that it ran well when last used and we hope to have fired it up by the time of the sale.
