Supplied new in August 1986 this two-door E30 has been recently restored to its former glory after being found in a shed by our intrepid enthusiast vendor in 2014.

Painstakingly restored over the past few years - down to bare metal with a photographic record, the car was gone through systematically, yet sympathetically. Take a look, the results speak for themselves both underneath and on top.

As an early model, it features the lovely chrome topped bumpers and two litre M20 series straight-six engine developing (when new) 127bhp driven through Getrag’s excellent five speed manual gearbox with rear wheel drive. The spec also features keep-fit windows and a manual sunroof along with grey cloth trim and spare wheel with tool kit.

The body restoration included some welding which was then prepped and zinc primed with 2k primer and painted in its original Zinnoberrot top coat. Many new parts were fitted, which included the fuel tank, fuel lines, pump and filter along with brake pipes, discs, shoes, pads PU bushes, shocks, springs and exhaust system.

After many years in storage it’s no surprise it needed a new clutch and timing belt along with water pump and major engine service. The bumpers were also re-chromed and the lovely period 14 inch alloy wheels refurbished and shod with new Nexen rubber.

Along with photographs of the restoration including where it was found, the history file contains the V5C, current MOT until May 2020 with no advisories, a couple of old MOTs and a host of invoices for parts purchased during the recent works.

A proper investment car, freshly restored, six-cylinder engine, the right number of doors, manual gearbox and just 107,723 miles. You know it makes sense!
