This fine July 1970 registered 1,275cc Midget MkIII has been in the same lady ownership for the last 29 years with supporting history showing her no expense spared attitude to maintenance.

Shortly after purchase in 1990, the car underwent a restoration (with photos) through 1991-1992 including replacement inner and outer sills, floor panels, chassis members, doors, wings, bonnet and boot. After 13 years of enjoyable use, a second bare metal restoration was carried out, again with a photographic record of the works contained in the considerable history file.

She used the same garage (J.J Griffiths of Powys) to service, maintain and also restore the car throughout her ownership. Noteworthy maintenance and work includes an exchange unleaded head from the MGOC in November 2000, exchange gearbox in 2002, new radiator and petrol tank in 2002 along with a reconditioned differential in 1995.

More recently, this MkIII has been treated to replacement suspension components and new brake callipers and clutch in 2017 and four new Michelin tyres. The car has been waxoil protected during her ownership.

The most recent service was carried out in May 2019 and included a lube service, a new wheel cylinder, ignition condenser and a brake fluid change. The history file shows annual services with no shying away from proper spend. The seven history files include some 24 old MOTs dating back to 1990 along with old invoices dating back to the same era and aforementioned restoration details plus current V5C, old style log book and current MOT running until May 2020 with no advisories (no surprise given its history!)

A superb example that wants for nothing but regular use.
