The Triumph TR6 came in a strange mix of colours – most which did it no favours at all. Jasmine Yellow however has to be one of the best, and one of the rarest. It gives the rather chunky car a touch of elegance and a real sense of presence. Or perhaps it is just that this one is just a very nice, clean example.
The car was originally exported to the US but was repatriated and – during an extensive rebuild - converted to RHD in the early 1990s. Unfortunately, there is no early history with this car but the MOT records show that it was regularly tested and has had only one blot on its copybook: it failed in 2006 and again in 2007 due to the nearside stop lamp not working. Brightwell’s would suggest that the new owner keeps an eye on that.
One other minor misdemeanour should be taken into consideration – the odometer doesn’t work. Apart from that, we would say this car is a cracker and very clean, outside, inside and in the engine bay. It is a car that would appear to need nothing (other than a new mileometer) and the fortunate bidder will find himself with a car ready to show or go.
A close inspection is highly recommended.
