Registered new in January 1968, this cutesy Anglia was won by a lucky lady at the 1968 Royal Welsh Show. We understand she kept the car until 1980, using it sparingly, recording just 16,500 miles over 12 years until her retirement from driving.

The car was pulled out of her garage and put away in storage for a number of years, our vendor putting it in his Ford showroom in the late 80’s as an homage to classic Fords of yesteryear.

Showing just 16,465 miles on the clock, which is believed genuine, the last tax disc in the window expired on 31st October 1980. A letter on file from the now retired Ford dealer in Swansea details the story ‘from the horse’s mouth’ recounting its history when he purchased it from the lady’s family after her death.

The V5 on file shows just one owner since 1980 along with a box of spares in the boot, 1 old MOT, owners manuals and service booklet showing just one stamp at 500 miles plus old style log-books and owner’s club literature.

The interior is in excellent shape, the red leatherette has stood the test of time and the bodywork is very sound although it does show signs of limited paint rectification at some point during the last 50 years. It starts and runs and is a proper time-warp gem.

Thanks to Harry Potter and the magical Anglia featured in the blockbuster films, values have risen sharply, although this one is offered at No Reserve so you never know!!
