Finished in Topaz with Oatmeal leather and burr walnut trim, this Jaguar car still looks very much the part sat on its smart 20-spoke alloy wheels.

Supplied new in January 1998 by Gilligan Jaguar of Carlisle, the car has seen only limited and regular use by its three owners. The second owned it for some 18 years before it was purchased the current Jaguar enthusiast and it has covered just 42,700 miles from new with supporting history to back this up.

Initially costing £36,405 plus a few optional extras such as the CD changer and metallic paint, it packs the smooth yet powerful 240bhp 3.2-litre V8 engine driving through a five speed automatic transmission.

The car’s comprehensive history file includes the V5C, owner’s pack with manuals, service book and invoices showing 11 services including its PDI, MOT history from the last back to June 2004 confirming its low mileage, 3 keys including green valet key and two fobs. The file also includes copy of an article about the first owner in Cumbria Life Magazine 1999 where the car can be seen in the background. The car has a current MOT until October 2019 with no advisories recorded and as such is ready to be enjoyed.

Good, low mileage X308’s and X300’s are getting harder and harder to find, yet offer so much in terms of luxury specification and unrivalled ride quality combined with refined performance - it’s a wonder they are not worth more.
