The venerable Mercedes W201 190 series marked the introduction of a smaller, more affordable car into a new market segment for Mercedes. Still engineered as if hued from a block of granite, it was a huge success, with 1.8 million produced between 1982 and April 1993.
This lower mileage example shows just 81,173 miles on the clock, only a handful more than when it was sold through Brightwells in 2016 since when it has remained in storage. Featuring the 2.0 petrol four cylinder, mated to automatic transmission, the car’s spec also includes blue checker trim, wood gear surround, four electric windows, electric passenger mirror, electric aerial, sunroof and vacuum operated central locking.
The bodywork appears to remain in very good order and the plastic wheel trims all present and correct. The original first aid kit looks to be intact and the tool kit present too along with full size spare. This 190’s history file includes the V5C, numerous old MOTs and an array of service invoices and our vendor will ensure it has a new MOT in time for the sale.
