Sort of subtle, but with a hint of menace, this XK8 looks very smart in its steel grey bodywork and factory alloy wheels and if you didn’t know it was 22 years old you wouldn’t know it was 22 years old.

It’s a four litre V8 coupled to a five-speed automatic gearbox so the engine is unlikely to wear out and this one has been regularly serviced so you should still have something approaching 290bhp under your right foot and 0-60mph in under 7 seconds when you want it (156mph would be shockingly irresponsible, wouldn’t it?).

It has potential to be a very smart car indeed with just a few very minor cosmetic jobs that need sorting and is just as clean inside as it is on the outside – even the boot is all it should be. Lift the bonnet and the story’s the same – this car has certainly been looked after.

The odometer reads 105,000 miles which is supported by the service records and MOTs. The current MOT runs to March 2020 and there was mention of one worn tyre and slight misting of oil on the nsr shock absorber but nothing to worry about. The current keeper has owned the car since 2007 and there are three recorded previous keepers.
