Documents V5C; four old MOTs

Produced by a re-vitalised company that was becoming increasingly under the control of the Volkswagen group, this 1997 Skoda Felicia has few, if any, links to the older models produced under a communist command economy and the butt of so many cruel, if entertaining jokes.

54bhp in a 900kg car produces reasonably entertaining performance as well as economy and Volkswagen’s input gives the car the kind of quality control the old Skoda engineers could only have dreamt of.

First registered at the end of August 1997, its long term owner put his name on the V5C just a few days later, so we can only assume it was a dealer ‘pre-registration’. It certainly is a very tidy example and so it should be with just 13,995 miles showing on the clock – a figure which is thought to be correct, judging from its MOT history and general condition.

The car was last tested in May 2015 when it passed with only one advisory notice – scored brake disc and so will need a fresh test before use once more.

A cheap runabout; a future ‘people’s classic’ or the start of your very own Eastern bloc car collection, it could even be the basis of the low-cost retro-rally car you’ve always promised yourself?

Well, it’s offered with No Reserve…….
