This is an extremely rare opportunity to get your hands on a 1969 Marcos 3-litre V6 coupe, with early ply chassis, that’s been extensively restored by Marcos Heritage in its ancestral home in Wiltshire through 2013/4 .

Built for Hexagon Motors of Highgate in ’69 by the factory it was sold to a proper marque enthusiast who kept it until 2013 when it was purchased by Marcos Heritage who set about fully restoring the car.

Documentation on file reveals this included replacement of (but not limited to) the steering rack, braking system including new copper pipes, a new clutch, new radiator, new starter motor, overhauled dynamo and replacement rear axle.

The chassis now looks like new and is fitted with the correct slimline sills (unlike the steel chassis version). The interior has been restored, a new Webasto sunroof fitted along with an overhauled overdrive unit and new clutch.

The car was repainted in the glorious shade of metallic blue we see here and sits on height adjustable suspension with period-correct knock-on wire wheels.

The peppy Ford V6 was supplied by Ford of Bradford-on-Avon, a stone’s throw from where it was restored with the original receipt on file along with a host of other supporting documentation from Marcos Heritage and its life thus far.

Rarely do low owner, low mileage (35,000 believed correct) ply-chassis coupes come to market and this has to be an opportunity not to be missed.
