One of two Morris Minor saloons in our sale today, this 1956 four-door split-screen model has always lived in the north-west of England and, until recently, had been in the Lakeland Museum collection for many years.
Recently rechromed and repainted but with a lovely original interior, it has been fully recommissioned for sale including a total overhaul of the braking sytem and a new set of tyres. The car is now said to drive beautifully with a particularly sweet engine and the indicated mileage of around 27,000 is believed to be genuine although there is insufficient documentary evidence to verify this. With an MOT until May 2011, it also comes with various old MOTs back to 1974 when it had covered some 23,000 miles.
