One of four W107 Series Mercedes convertibles in our sale today, this particular car is the 3.5-litre model that was in production from 1971 until 1980. The 3,499cc V8 produced a quoted 200bhp and 211lb/ft of torque, sufficient to endow the car with a top speed of 132mph.
Dating from the first year of production, this particular car was substantially restored some years ago by Crown Garage of Shropshire, with photos and bills on file relating to the replacement of the wings, sills, boot lid and rear quarter panels. A new exhaust was also fitted and the interior retrimmed and carpeted. Now said to be in good condition throughout, the car has been in storage since 1996 but, time permitting, is due to be recommissioned and issued with a new MOT before the sale.
