Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1996, the new Jaguar XK8 was the replacement for the venerable XJS which had in turn supplanted the E-Type. Designed by Geoff Lawson, who had also penned the stunning XJ220, it shared its platform with the Aston Martin DB7 to which it bore more than a passing resemblance. The first Jaguar ever with an eight-cylinder engine, it's 4-litre V8 produced 290bhp and could waft the car to an electronically limited 155mph top speed.

This most striking 1998 example was supplied new by Stratstones and was ordered in Topaz, with Cashmere leather upholstery and a stone hood. The car has a fabulous specification, including leather pack, burr walnut dashboard, “flute” style wheels, traction control, cruise control and a heated windscreen. The vendor states that it has had just two owners prior to him and has covered 91,500 miles. With a full service history to 87,824, tax until January 2012 and an Mot until the end of August 2012 this superb looking car really does look very tempting indeed!

Please note that the personalised registration number in the photographs is not included in the sale and the car will carry an age related number by the time of the sale.
