Favoured by the post office in the 1960s, the Bantam was a very familiar sight on the roads of Britain buzzing along leaving a faint blue haze from its robust 2 stroke engine. During its production run over 300,000 left the Smallheath factory, the last of the line D14/4s being very different machines to the original 125cc DKW design.
HAD 11D was first registered on the 24th January 1966, it being one of the last to leave the production line the preceding year. A D7 model, it looks sound and complete and the engine turns freely.
