One of a pair of Bentley T1 models in our sale today, this particular car is finished in Tudor Grey metallic with tan leather interior trim, rear picnic tables and wool overrugs. Supplied new by HA Fox of London, it was first registered in March 1967 to a Colonel R Myddleton of Chirk Castle, Denbighshire. A copy of the original factory delivery records is included with the documentation for the car.

Having spent some years in the aristocratic surroundings of Chirk Castle, the Bentley travelled to New York and Florida before returning to the UK in 1990. The current owner purchased the car in 1991 and has enjoyed it for the last 20 years. Although there is no early service history, there are many bills charting regular upkeep in the current ownership.

This work includes a bare metal repaint in the original Tudor Grey; dashboard and door cappings restored to a high standard; considerable hydraulic work including new pistons and seals in the brake calipers; new rear brake discs and pads; all hydraulic flexipipes replaced; metal pipes at the rear of the car replaced with copper/cupronickel and much other work.

The vendor states that “this car has been maintained regardless of cost during my ownership and garaged at all times when not in use. It has been exhibited and much admired at many classic car shows over the years.” With an MOT until July 2012 and taxed until next June, it is ready for a proud new owner to drive away today.
