That the sight of a Morris 1000 on the road today should cause such little comment is testament to several things. The inherent brilliance of the initial design for one, whilst the amazing service provided by the army of parts and repair specialists, led by Charles Ware of the Morris Minor Centre, is probably the other. It remains true that on any journey of over 50 miles it is unusual not to encounter one of these cheeky little cars going about its daily routine. The Traveller, due to its more vulnerable external woodwork, is a rarer sight, but is still a most practical and attractive vehicle offering motoring at a cost more associated with the 1970s rather than the 2010s.

The vendor understands that this 1968 example has covered just 81,000 miles from new having had just two previous owners. They lived only a few doors away from each other, the second owner acquiring the car in 2003. The file of information includes 13 old MOTs and a number of invoices from the Morris Minor Centre in Birmingham for parts supplied over the last few years.

MOTd until August 2012, this car carries a delightful patina and no doubt will continue to give excellent service for many years to come.
