The Italians were kings of the lightweight motorcycle in the 50s and 60s producing machines fabled for their power-to-weight ratio and their superb handling. The 110cc Moto Guzzi was years in advance of the British offerings of the same period with a top speed in excess of 55mph from such a small powerplant and an obtainable 100mpg. Manufactured between 1960 and 1968 the 110cc was the successor to the previous 98cc Zigola. It was a larger capacity and marginally more powerful version with light alloy barrel and head of the original rotary valve two stroke engine, now boasting hydraulically damped front and rear suspension.

This particular 1966 example comes with V5C, MOT to February 2012 and current road fund tax and is ready to ride away. An easy starter once you have located the hidden fuel tap and carburettor primer, it is eminently suitable and eligible for the Italian Giro events and is said to be a lively performer.
