Daimler 250 V8 Saloon

One of two Daimler 250 V8 models in our sale today, this Carmen Red example dates from 1966 and has been in the current ownership for the last three years. Bills in the history file indicate that the car had a substantial mechanical overhaul in 2001-02 which included an engine and gearbox overhaul, rear axle rebuild and suspension overhaul with various new bushes and a new radiator.

The bodywork was lightly restored about three years ago and the car resprayed. Inside, electrically operated front seats from a later Jaguar have been fitted, along with a Mota Lita steering wheel (although the original item comes with the car). A stainless steel exhaust system has also been fitted along with chrome wire wheels. The car also benefits from power steering although the vendor states that this does have a slight fluid leak.

The car is in regular light use and is said to drive well with current tax disc and an MOT valid until June 2012. Altogether a nice useable car that can be pressed into immediate use.
