Mercedes-Benz 230E

One of four W123 Mercedes in our sale today, this particular car is a 230E saloon that was in production from 1979 until 1985. It was powered by a 2.3-litre fuel-injected four-cylinder engine that produced 134bhp and 148lb/ft of torque. Finished in white with a blue velour interior and automatic transmission, the car was first registered in October 1982 and is described as being in “very good and original condition throughout”. 

The car has had six keepers in all, the fifth owning it from 1999 until 2007 when the current vendor acquired the vehicle. It has covered some 93,800 miles from new with many old MOTs to verify this total. Equipment includes electric windows, electric sunroof, power steering, alarm, tinted front windscreen, headlamp washers and wipers, Mercedes mudflaps and luggage nets behind the front seats.

The paintwork is said to be in excellent condition and appears to be original, as is the interior. With an MOT until November 2012 the car is said to drive beautifully and comes with various bills to show regular maintenance plus other documentation going right back to when the car was new. These classic saloons have wonderfully understated looks, superb build quality and are more than capable of being used every day.
