The XS range from Yamaha came in a range of engine sizes and was somewhat of a departure for the company as it utilised a straightforward parallel twin four-stroke.
They produced it in a range of styles, all based on the same basic engine and frame, this one having more than a hint of the demonically quick RD range, even though its performance was very much more in line with what your parents would have approved of.
In extremely clean and tidy condition, the odometer shows a total of 17,500 miles, and an old tax disc would indicate that it was last on the road in 1991. It will therefore require a certain amount of recommissioning before use and sadly any paperwork relating to this machine has been lost.
CATALOGUE AMENDMENT:
Registered with the DVLA as an XS250, the vendor believes that it is a 400 - in any event we advise prospective bidders to satisfy themselves as to the capacity of the engine.
