Using what was basically a DKW-designed wheel-mounted engine, Cyclemaster (a literal translation from the German 'RadMeister') was a UK company which set about building engines in Hayes, Middlesex, during 1950.
Popular bolt-ons to a standard bicycle, the engines made the bikes rather alarming to ride due to the added weight and the rather floppy frames and dubious brakes of their host machine, but were popular nevertheless.
This 32cc Cyclemaster engine has been fitted to a Mercury frame. Requiring restoration it appears to be largely complete although bidders are advised that there is no paperwork with this machine and the number is not recognised by the DVLA.
