Land Rover S1

One of several Land Rovers in our sale today, little is known about this Series 1 example except that the vendor understands it to be a 1955 model. 

Fitted with the rare hard top, it has been used for many years on private land. He reports that the chassis is "OK" and that he has had some welding done recently on the front bumper. He has had the engine running and cleaned the vehicle up since these pictures were taken and it has come up well, looking much more presentable.

Now requiring recommissioning before road use, the number MRY 600 shown in the photographs is not currently recognised by the DVLA. However the chassis number is assigned with registration number ADD 63A which would tend to indicate that this vehicle has already been re-issued with a new "A" suffix number by the DVLA - a common policy when re-registering old Land Rovers, the V5 being on file.
