The MGB range was an enormous success and its popularity as an affordable fun car has not diminished. Furthermore its 95bhp B series engine with twin 1 ½ “ SUs makes for a 105mph top speed.
By 1974 the company had reacted to the new US regulations by introducing rubber bumpers, raising the car in the process to meet the lighting regulations. This US spec. became standard across all markets, continuing to the final production run in 1980. The reliability, performance and excellent handling of the cars mean there is no reason why they cannot be used every day.
This attractive bright yellow Roadster dates from 1978 and comes with a comprehensive history file retaining many receipts for work done over the last few years. It has spent some of its life on the Isle of Man, returning to the mainland in August 2012. Described by the vendor as a nice, sound and well presented example which has clearly been well cared for, it is MOTd until April 2015.
