The Lambretta TV175 was introduced in 1962 and was the flagship of Innocenti built scooters.

Powered by an uprated 8.7bhp two-stroke, the styling was more contemporary than before, using ‘slim-line’ fairings and a more angular appearance. Fitted with a disc brake, a joint development between Innocenti and Campagnolo, it is believed that it was the first two wheeled machine to be so equipped. Nearly 38,000 were produced in all.

A brass plaque from the FMI (Italian Motorcycle Federation) confirms that this machine was produced on 20 November 1962 and was first registered on 5 April the following year. The vendor purchased it from an old gentleman in Brescia who had taken the scooter to be professionally restored.

Remaining in beautiful condition, this proper Italian machine has spent most of its time in the vendor’s sitting room (much to his wife's delight, no doubt!). Complete with the correct stickers in place, it runs and starts readily and looks like it has just left the showroom. Should the new owner choose to ride it, they will no doubt discover "piacere di viaggiare" (the pleasure of travelling) as contemporary Lambretta adverts espoused.

Bidders are advised that it is currently registered in Italy, the vendor being happy to assist with the relevant NOVA import documentation should the new owner wish to register the machine in the UK.

CATALOGUE AMENDMENT: The vendor confirms that he has now received the relevant NOVA documentation so that the Lambretta can now be registered with the DVLA.
