History
Even The Stig would think twice about flooring this one. If you have ever wondered what it is like to be fired out of a cannon, driving this car is probably the nearest you will get to finding out. It was specially built in 2002 at a cost of £52,000 to set the fastest 0-60mph time for a road going 2-litre production car. Timed by the Guinness Book of Records at 2.48 secs to 60mph and capable of 0-100mph in 6.6 seconds, the car was disqualified from the contest because too few had been built to fit the production car criteria.
It is powered by a turbocharged Dome Motorsport Group A Cosworth 2-litre twin cam engine, water injected and with an anti-lag system. The power output is 430bhp delivered to all four wheels via a TS Cosworth gearbox. All this in a car that weighs less than a fart. It has had just one owner and has covered only 700 miles since it was built.
Completely road legal and with a fresh MOT, it is ready to jump straight into and go. However, with such devastating performance comes a high degree of responsibility and we would urge that only suitably trained drivers should contemplate bidding on this formidable machine.
