THIS CAR HAS NOT MADE IT TO THE SALE DUE TO A MEDICAL ISSUE WITH THE VENDOR. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE INVITED TO CALL US ON 01568 611122 FOR MORE INFORMATION.

The final evolution of the TR2/TR3 line, the TR3A was introduced in September 1957. A slightly updated version of the TR3, it differed only in having a wider front grill, exterior door handles, a lockable boot handle and a full tool kit as standard.

Great fun to drive, its tough boxed section chassis featured independent coil and wishbone front suspension, a leaf sprung 'live' rear axle and disc / drum brakes. Fitted with a 1991cc four-cylinder ohv engine developing some 104bhp and 117lbft of torque, this robust unit endowed the TR3A with a 109mph top speed and spirited acceleration. The car was replaced by the TR4 in 1962.

At the other end of the spectrum to the beautifully restored TR3A on offer at the end of this sale, this LHD barn find will need to be treated to a full renovation before it hits the streets again. Rescued from long term storage in California, the vendor informs us that it starts and runs and comes with its original California Title document.

Arriving on these shores earlier this year, the file includes import documentation which proves that the relevant duties have been paid, the vendor informing us that the car has also got its correct NOVA documentation which is required by the DLVA before they will consider UK registration.

The vendor has reluctantly concluded that following a bout of ill health, he won’t be able to do it justice in the foreseeable future and it therefore has to go.
