The GS range from Suzuki was their first significant foray into the world of four-strokes. The first version to make an appearance was the GS750, its rugged four-cylinder air-cooled engine cribbing much of its design from Kawasaki’s Z900.
The new engine was fitted into a dual frame with conventional telescopic forks, twin rear shocks and a single front disc brake. Safe, predictable and reliable, it was soon joined by a full range of engine sizes, all going suck, squeeze, bang, blow – albeit at an extremely rapid rate!
It was spotted by the previous owner displayed on the Carole Nash stand at the Classic Bike Show in 2000. He parted with real money there and then, using the bike until 2008, at which point it got parked in his dry garage, under covers, until recently acquired by the vendor for proper recommissioning.
This work included new brake fluid, a mastercylinder overhaul kit, fresh battery, plugs, an oil and filter change plus two new Avon tyres and tubes. This smart looking bike has just passed its MOT which expires in April 2016 and comes with a Haynes manual and is ready to ride.
