Barely a day goes by when you don’t see a Morris 1000 on the road. They are such a familiar sight that even to a classic enthusiast they barely raise a second glance.

Much of this is down to the original design, which was so good in its day that even 65 years on they can still perform as practical everyday transport. Light steering, miserly fuel consumption and with perfectly adequate performance for most journeys, these have to be the ultimate ‘green machines’.

This 1966 2-door was purchased through ourselves and has been in regular use since by the vendor's daughter. We are told that it has proved to be very reliable and an excellent starter, running and driving as it should. Recent expenditure includes a new battery and a rear brake overhaul and it is MOTd until October 2015.

Ready for immediate use and looking good in black with a red interior, it looks excellent value at the suggested guide price.
