Introduced way back in 1970, the Range Rover was so fundamentally 'right' from the outset that it remained in production virtually unaltered for the next 25 years, getting a little bit more luxurious with each passing year.
This 1991 3.9-litre EFi Range Rover was specified with leather upholstery when new and has covered some 180,000 miles to date. At some point it has been upgraded with an LPG system (with a current certificate), giving it a decent range between fills and is MOTd until March 2016.
Fitted with a reconditioned gearbox by Steve Parker in April 2004, a reconditioned power steering pump was installed at the same time. It comes with a towbar and electrics, the vendor informing us that it runs and drives and is a very handy machine to have about although could do with a general tidy-up.
With the current high level of interest in classic shape Range Rovers, this bargain basement old girl starts to make rather a lot of sense, especially when coupled with the attractive price of LPG these days.
