History

The second of the Delage projects in our sale today, this is believed to be a six-cylinder Model AH dating from around 1912 to 1913. Neil Bateman purchased the car as a collection of parts in 1982, and it was up on its wheels with a home-built body by 1992. Around 200 examples of the 15 HP type AH were built in two batches during 1912 and 1913 . Its sidevalve engine has a bore and stroke of 66 x 125mm, and it employed a multiplate clutch and three speed gearbox.

Also being sold with this lot are a large quantity of Delage spares including another chassis, the identity of which we have not been able to establish at the time of cataloguing.
