The more interesting of the two machines in this lot is a quirky Honda NV50 Stream. Its funky tilting three-wheel design made it easy to handle at low speed or when stationary (it even had a handbrake), but feel like a proper motorbike when on the move.

The design was originally patented by George Wallis, an Englishman who encouraged Ariel to make the first models as the Ariel 3. Never a commercial success, Honda spotted its potential, the design allowing them to circumnavigate certain motorcycle laws in their home market. They took on the licence to use the patents and have been making these ‘Gyro’ three-wheelers ever since.

The NV50 Stream departed from their normal practice in that it used a two-stroke engine, the extra weight of the components requiring more power than they could sensibly extract from their four-stroke 50cc units. A strong seller in certain markets, the benefits of the tilting three-wheeler has gained even more popularity of late thanks to the latest designs introduced by Peugeot.

This example shows some 2,120 miles on the clock and is offered as a restoration project, not having run for some time. It comes with its ignition key, current V5C and its original owner’s manual.

As if that wasn’t enough, this lot also includes a Lifan LF125GY off-road bike. Looking in basically sound condition, it is offered as a non-runner and comes with no paperwork but has potential to be a lot of fun.

This lot of two machines is offered at no reserve.
