Rather than aiming their beautifully engineered Cub at the home mechanic or, worse still, the traditional ‘hairy biker’, Honda carefully targeted the commuter market, stressing how much cheaper it was than public transport, how much more convenient and reliable it was, with no need for any mechanical know-how on the part of the rider. It really worked.
The Honda Cub has put more people on the road than any other vehicle. More than 60 million have been produced since 1958, making it the best-selling road-going machine of all time.
This nice looking 1987 Cub 90 last changed hands in August 2014. It has had five previous owners and its last MOT expired as recently as May last year. Described by the vendor as in good running order, it comes with a current V5C.
