The 1969 Honda PC50 was a follow-on machine from the quirky 'engine in wheel' P50 and used a much more conventional layout with a jewel-like ohv four-stoke motor.

This was later upgraded to an ohc unit, still of just 49cc, production lasting until 1977. New models followed, including the PX50, a quasi off-road look-alike that only someone with Honda’s massive sales machine could hope to turn into a commercial success.

First registered in September 1982, this PX50 has been owned by the same York family from new according to its old style V5. In running condition according to the vendor, it appears to be in very smart condition suggesting that it has only been very lightly used.

Clearly well cared for, it combines rugged Honda reliability with quirky looks and is just the job for the teenager who is intelligent enough to shun the latest crop of joke-shop-quality learner bikes or the more mature rider looking for a cheap way of getting round town.
