Legnano were formed in a suburb of Milan by Emilio Bozzi. The firm specialised in small capacity machines, producing a range of 50cc and 125cc bikes with engines bought in from Sachs, Minarelli and Garelli.
This 49cc Sachs-engined Legnano Sports bike, with its drop-bars and narrow tank must have been quite the thing in its day. Described by the vendor as in running condition, it has remained in a private collection for many years and has sadly lost its documentation. It is believed to date from the mid-1960s and has all of the Italian flair normally associated with better known brands such as Ducati and MV Augusta.
With a major resurgence in interest in small capacity machines, this rare and exotic looking bike must be about the coolest looking of all.
AMENDMENT - Revised Estimate £1000 - £1200.
