History
This 1975 Mini MkIV was professionally converted into a cabriolet in October 1992 by Mintec of Kingsteignton, Devon. Unlike many chop top builders, Mintec have gone to great lengths to ensure that the structural rigidity of the car is maintained. Hence the strengthened floor-pan with uprated sills, integral roll bar and part of the roof frame retained.
Said to drive well, the car comes with lots of old MOTs back to 1991 and a fair amount of service history back to 1997. The rear subframe was recently replaced and the car is fitted with a racy set of Revolution alloy wheels. With an MOT and tax to April 2008, it can be driven away today.
