In its day the MGB was the best selling two-seater sports car ever and still possesses a timeless charm and a friendly accessibility which always puts a smile on your face - especially if, like many of us, you had one during your carefree younger days.

Relatively quick with handling to match and a throaty exhaust note, the B is a most practical proposition for two people to set out for a few days enjoyable touring in fine weather on empty country lanes. You will have massive fun feeling the wind in (what's left of) your hair as you feel the years roll back.

The Roadster on offer here is a UK home market car first registered in August 1971.The unique selling point of this car is a 5-speed gearbox installed by specialists Hi Gear Engineering Ltd, which would have cost in excess of £1,500. The MG was recently treated to new chrome wire wheels and a stainless steel exhaust system and it also comes with a luggage rack, walnut dash, two relatively new 6 volt batteries and Motalita steering wheel.

The vendor states that "it has one or two paint blemishes but is a highly useable example". The car is sold with an MOT certificate valid until July 2016.
