History

Probably the most successful sports single of all time, the BSA Gold Star has been a legend since it was launched in 1947. It totally dominated the racing scene of the 1950s to the extent that  it won every Isle of Man Clubmans TT from 1949 to 1956 when the series was discontinued. In that last victorious year, only two of the 350cc field rode anything else.

This particular example dates from 1959 and is the DB32 model. It has the correct big fin type engine and 8-inch brake and is fitted with the more usable road-going gearbox and more manageable Amal Concentric carb. Recently fitted with a new battery, it has an MOT until June 2008, current road tax, a V5C and is ready for the road.
